Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone!

Just stopping in for a quick hello to share a birthday card I made.  It's for my brother, whose birthday is today.  Happy Birthday!

I used the impression obsession "spatter" background and stamped it on some light blue paper from PaperSource.  The birthday balloons and sentiment are from Papertrey ink.  I then foam mounted the balloons and added some bakers twine for balloon strings.  Lastly, I added some washi tape and foam mounted the birthday sentiment on it.

That's all for me today!  I have some pumpkin pie to make!  To all of you celebrating Thanksgiving, I hope you have a relaxing day tomorrow!  Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hello!

Just stopping in for a quick hello today!  This card is made with Papertrey Ink's "In Bloom" stamp set.  I colored the large flower and leaf stamp with copics, cut them out, and mounted them with foam tape for added dimension.  The background stamp is an Impression Obsession cover-a-card stamp.

Lastly, the sentiment is from the same stamp set and embossed with black.

Thanks for visiting today!

Happy Birthday!

It's the Fall, which means there are lots of birthdays to celebrate around here!  Today's card is for a birthday yesterday, so I've been waiting to post it so there wouldn't be any spoilers!  ...like the hubby looks at my blog anyways....

*Drum roll*.... here it is!

I went for a tone-on-tone look by stamping with peacock feathers distress ink on pool colored paper from Paper Source.  The background stamp is an Impression Obsession cover-a-card stamp that is aptly named "spatter."  I then used some teal washi tapes to add some stripes across the card.  Next, I used a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn set "Sophie's Sentiments" stamped in vintage photo distress ink.  I thought it would be fun to add some birthday balloons (Stamps by Judith), which were colored with copics and covered with Glass Effects Gel-- see how the balloons are shiny:

I also thought it would be fun to add some baker's twine-- a card can't be complete without it, right?

And there you have it!  Happy Birthday!
