Aloha!
Today I wanted to share a Hawaiian themed card that I made the other day. When I was shopping around the local craft/stamp stores last month, I came across a fun stamp of a Hawaiian quilt. I'm not sure if you've ever seen a Hawaiian quilt in person, but they're absolutely beautiful and have a very distinctive look about them. A typical quilt has a symmetric botanical pattern that appliquéd onto a white background. I'd love to buy one at some point, but, for now, the quilt stamp is a bit more in my budget ;)
I stamped the image in soft apricot shadow ink (Hero Arts) and mounted the panel on black cardstock. I wanted a matching strip of cardstock, so I smeared the ink on the strip and let it dry. After that, I stamped the sentiment on both the card base and cardstock strip and adhered everything together. Very simple!
Thanks so much for visiting today! Hope to see you back soon!

What a great CAS design, Lizzy! :o) I especially love how you stamped the sentiment on the card base and cardstock strip -- it looks really neat!
