I thought I would start by entering the latest Lawnscaping Challenge: Try a new technique.
The new technique I tried was resist embossing! It's such a fun technique and always seems like magic once ink is applied to the embossed image. For this card, I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set "Let It Snow". It's one of their new sets and includes a lot of great pieces. I stamped the snowy background with versamark ink and then applied Ranger's holographic embossing powder for some *sparkle*! I then used memento ink to create a night sky. I used a masking technique for the moon and for the snowy hills. Here's the finished card:
I also added a little "snow" to the trees with the help of Sakura white gel pen:
I just love how the gel pen adds a little texture to the card. The card was finished with a sentiment from the same stamp set.
I hope you like the card! Thanks for looking!
