Happy Valentine's Day!
Yes, I'm posting this a bit early for Valentine's Day, but I wanted to add my card to the Lawnscaping Challenge before the deadline at midnight.
It's a smaller card (4x4), but it was a good size for the Lawn Fawn set, "Bee Mine", which is one of their mini's.
I couldn't help think of this set when I was listening to one of my playlists. The song "All I Want Is You" by Tristan Prettyman opens with this sweet sentiment. I just typed it up and printed it out on some white cardstock. The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn's Dewey Decimal paper pad and it includes the perfect honeycomb pattern for a little bee :) I die cut some circles out of the patterned paper and outlined them with vellum (therm-o-web vellum adhesive runner rocks, btw!). After the circles were cut, I stamped and colored the flowers and bee with copics. I then added some stickles to the flowers because, as usual, I couldn't help myself!
Lastly, I adhered my sentiment by using scor-tape on the outside and a piece of foam tape in the middle to give it some extra dimension. I saw JJ Bolton use this technique on her blog, and thought it was really neat!
That's it for me tonight. Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!

So cute. Love the double windows. What a neat idea! Thanks so much for feeling the love with us this week at Lawnscaping!
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable card! I love all the elements and how you tied in the honeycomb too.
