Welcome Baby Card

Hi Everyone!

Long time no see!  I'm dropping in for a moment to share a card that I made for a friend who just had a baby girl.  I was inspired by this week's Paper Smooches Challenge, which is a Trend Watch challenge.

Here is the inspiration photo:
And here's my take on it:

For this card, I used one of my favorite Paper Smooches sets: A Little Lovin'.  The elephant mama and baby are so cute and it's the perfect image for a baby card.  I colored the image with copics and cut it out.  The patterned paper is from Papertrey Ink (Funky Town).  After die cutting a heart, I die cut a doily (PTI) out of vellum, as a reference to the tulle bow in the inspiration photo.  I then added a little pink bow with diamond stickles to the baby elephant.

The sentiment, also from Paper Smooches, is stamped on white cardstock with soft granite ink.  I then added little hearts to frame the sentiment and applied some glossy accents because I can't help myself ;)

And here's one last photo:

I was also inspired by this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Have a Heart.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you're having a good week!
