Lawnscaping Challenge #76: Dust 'em Off

We have a really fun challenge for you this week at Lawnscaping!  It's time to give some love to those unloved stamps or products that have just been lingering around!

Here's the card I created for the challenge:

It's a super simple card that uses a bunch of things that I haven't used in a long, long while- the Hero Art's background stamp, Lawn Fawn's Bon Voyage stamp set, and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Flying By set.

I also used my Tim Holtz paper distressing tool that I haven't used in a while either.  I love the texture it adds!

I hope you'll join us.  Our sponsor this week is Lawn Fawn, who will be giving away a stamp set of the winner's choice!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lawnscaping Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the next stop on the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team's Valentine's Day Blog Hop!  I hope you're enjoying all the awesome projects along the way!

You should have come here by way of Taylor's fabulous blog

And without further ado, here's my silly Valentine's Day card:

Soy sauce + wasabi = the perfect pair :)

Hehe.  I can never resist a good pun!  For the main part of the card, I used Lawn Fawn's new Let's Roll stamp set and the coordinating dies.  I created my own patterned paper using the flower image in the Let's Roll stamp set with some Versamark ink on green cardstock.  I then used the Stitched Journaling Card die to die cut both the green "patterned" paper and a piece of white cardstock.  Next, I used the new Speech Bubble Border die to cut through both pieces so I could sandwich the white top with the green bottom.

The sentiment is stamped with a combination of Milo's ABC's and the sentiment included in Let's Roll.  I finished the card with some clear Wink of Stella pen, which I applied over the heart and sentiment.

Your next stop on the hop is my super sweet teammate, Kari!

And don't forget-- we have two awesome prize packs of Spectrum Noir markers!  Winners will be randomly chosen from comments along the way :)

And lastly, if you get lost along the way or have found your way here another way, here is the hop order:

Valentine Blog Hop

Hey Everyone!

I'm so happy to be participating in Jenn Shurkus' Valentine Blog Hop!

Jenn has organized 2 full weeks of Valentine's Day inspiration for you-- everyday until February 14, Jenn and a new blogger will be sharing a special Valentine's Day project.  And since this is the season of LOVE, be sure to leave some comment love at the blogs throughout the hop.  Jenn will be offering up some great prizes to randomly chosen comments along the way.

So without further ado, here's my card:

This was a pretty simple card to put together.  I started by inking my Penny Black Apertures stamp in a light gray ink and stamping it in the center of the white card base.  The heart (SU! Hearts Framelits) is die cut from pink cardstock and heat embossed (making it look red).  I did several layers of embossing... 1 layer of clear sparkle and then 3 more layers of just clear.  The result is a glossy, sparkly looking embellishment... I just love it!

The banner is from PTI's Bountiful Banners stamp set and the sentiment is from PTI's Mini Blooms set.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but the banner is raised in the middle for some extra dimension.  I just used some foam tape for the middle and some glue dots for the sides:

I finished the card with a few Hero Art's black gemstones.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be sure to stop by Lynn's blog, who was yesterday's hop participant, and stay tuned for some great Valentine's inspiration from Kathy's blog, who will be sharing her project tomorrow!  And don't forget to head on over to Jenn's blog every day until the 14th!

Lawnscaping Challenge #75: Dots & Hearts

It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we're encouraging you to use hearts and dots on your projects!

Here's my card:

I created the front panel with some distress inks and a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. I've had the stencil for a while, but haven't ever used it, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do so.  The stamps are all from Lawn Fawn's Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set.  After choosing a heart for the focal point, I stamped the sentiment and then stamped the arrow.  I just masked off the heart to avoid stamping in the heart.  I was also able to make the arrow a little longer to accommodate the size of the heart:

I love how clear stamps are so easy to line up!
I finished up the card by using a copic multiliner to draw lines and dots around the heart and front panel.  The card base is stamped in black with the woodgrain stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!  Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp, who will be giving away a $25 gift card to the lucky winner!  Hope you'll join us!
