Lawnscaping Challenge #67: Patterned Paper

It's time for the next Lawnscaping Challenge!  For this challenge, it's all about making a dent in your patterned paper hoard stash ;)

I thought it would be fun to do a little paper-piecing for this challenge.  Here's my card:

I used 3 papers from the new Into the Woods collection from Lawn Fawn and a subtle yellow paper (for the flower) from the Pink Lemonade collection.  To give my paper-piecing more depth, I colored them with copics and shaded just I would with white paper.  I really like this look because the pattern adds a lot of texture to the coloring.  After I finished my flower, I spritzed the white card base with some Lemon Zest Dylusions Ink Spray and stamped the sentiment (Sunny Skies) in chocolate brown ink.  I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the flower.  It's hard to see the shine, but here's a close-up:

I finished the card with a few rhinestones.

I hope you'll play along with us this week!  Our sponsor is Simon Says Stamp, who will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to the lucky winner!
